Position: Restaurant Manager
Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Salary: 18-25K

ROLE:
a) To be responsible for the total management of the restaurant business in order to achieve and maintain high standards of quality, service and cleanliness, including managing the contract services to the restaurant.
b) To ensure the effective training and development of all staff and management.
c) Maintain overall quality and service standards.
d) Develop Operations Standards Audit action plan.
e) Ensure that Health & Safety and Food safety working practices are adhered to at all times.
f) Financial management including profit and loss, financial planning (achievement of sales and profit targets, projections).
g) Represent the restaurant at Area/District meetings.
h) Keep regular contact with customers to obtain feedback on service, food quality and staff friendliness.
i) Hold regular staff planning meetings with management to devise recruitment plans.
j) Complete a training needs analysis for staff, supervisors and managers and devise training plans to suit needs.
k) Manage absence and disciplinary issues within the restaurant, seeking specialist assistance where required.
l) Keep aware of local competition and develop plans to retain customers.
m) Local restaurant marketing analysis – liaise with marketing department and the Area Manager to develop local offers.
n) Communicate and implement national and local promotions.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous management experience ideally gained in a food retail environment.
b) You will need to have a real passion for the food industry, a proactive approach and a proven track record in a supervisory role within a customer focused setting.
c) Ability to demonstrate great communication skills, the ability to adapt to fresh challenges and the ability motivate and inspire those around you.
