POSITION: Pub General Manager (Country Thatched Pub)
AREA: Nr Skipton, North Yorkshire
SALARY: Starting salary 18 - 20k with significant bonus scheme/profit share. Potential to earn in the region of 27000.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Ideal position for a candidate looking for to run a business who is passionate about their job and share the vision of making this special pub a destination for food and a warm, convivial atmosphere. You must be able to demonstrate a full understanding of Gross Profit% and have a track record in pub management.
ROLE: The Manager's position is a hands on role with full responsibility for the running of the pub. This includes but not limited to: House Management; Being the face of the operation, meeting & greeting customers Business Acumen; Being able to drive the business while controlling costs to ensure profitability and increase GP%. Oversee administration. People Management; Developing & motivating a team. Responsibility for rotas & recruitment and identifying training needs.Sales & Marketing; Taking a lead role to driving sales with suitable activity. Kitchen Management; Understanding of the food operation, overseeing production of the menu and budget control. Cellar Management; Maintaining perfect cellar conditions and stock levels.
COMPANY: A privately owned country pub with a thatched roofed barn conversion restaurant in a quaint village rural setting. The pub was a finalist in Yorkshire Pub of the Year in 2007 competition, that was run by the Yorkshire Tourist Board. K7 Solutions is a Recruitment Consultancy who are helping this client to recruit.
